There is no one "holy book," that can be read to tell you all there is to know. In almost every case, there is no "Heathen Church" down on the corner. In developing one's Heathen beliefs and practices, one must consider a wide array of sources.   Doctrine is something that is taught; a principle or creed of principles presented for acceptance or belief; a system of beliefs. In Scripture, doctrine takes on a broader meaning. In the Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology this explanation of doctrine is given: "Christianity is a religion founded on a message of good news rooted in the significance of the life of Jesus Christ.

Priestley, Joseph; The Doctrines of Heathen Philosophy, compared with those of Revelation search; The American Practical Brewer and Tanner (J. Coppinger) search; The Doctrines of Heathen Philosophy, compared with those of Revelation (J. Priestley) search; Traité élémentaire de Morale et du Bonheur (J. Z. Paradis de Raymondis) search. Photius says, that he was "well acquainted with the Christian philosophy, and especially with the heathen; rich in the knowledge of history, and all other parts of learning" (Lardner). He was, therefore, well qualified to ascertain the truth about the origin of the Book of Revelation.

Muslims believe that God sent his revelation (Torah) first to the Jews through the prophet Moses and then to Christians through the prophet Jesus. They recognize many of the biblical prophets, in particular Moses and Jesus, and those are common Muslim names. Another common Muslim name is . Following is a comparison between Christian doctrine and Mormon doctrine. It will become very obvious that Mormonism does not agree with the Bible. In fact, Mormonism uses the same words found in Christianity, but it redefines them. So, with a proper understanding of what Mormonism really teaches, you will be able to see past those definitions.
